The embattled leftist Greek government has looked eagerly towards both Beijing and Moscow as strategic investers in a handful of major privatizations set to commence in the country - sell-offs that are also memorandum-mandated goals.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will pay an official visit to China between July 2 and 6, government sources said on Friday, the same day as a visit to the country by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The embattled leftist Greek government has looked eagerly towards both Beijing and Moscow as strategic investers in a handful of major privatizations set to commence in the country - sell-offs that are also memorandum-mandated goals.

Chinese multinational shipper Cosco was recently declared the winner in an international tender for a majority share of the Piraeus Port Authority and its management. Continuing interest in the Greek rail operator has also been widely reported.
