The Greek government on Friday announced restrictions to ferry boat travel to the country's numerous islands, with the intent of preventing so-called "coronavirus holidays". The new measures will allow travel to the islands only of permanent residents on those, along with the transport of necessary consumer goods.
Travel from the islands back to the mainland is not affected.
