Turkish provocations in the eastern Mediterranean are reportedly the reason for a reason by a Total-Eni consortium to move pending hydrocarbon explorations away from Block 7 in Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone - which official Turkey does not recognize.
According to media reports from the island republic, although the official reason given was "contractual obligations", the consortium is expected to shift exploration elsewhere.
