Greek performer Lavrentis Macheritsas, 62, one of the protagonists in Greece's "new wave" rock scene in the 1980s, and a successful solo performer since then, died on Monday morning after suffering cardiac arrest at his Volos-area country home. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but never gained conscientiousness, reports state.
