Tripartite cooperation between Greece, Cyprus and Jordan aims at boosting the prospects of peace and cooperation in the east Mediterranean, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Sunday from Amman, in the latest meeting between a trio of regional leaders.
Tsipras has participated in similar tripartite meetings with the leaders of Cyprus, Israel and Egypt.
In the presence of his host, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Tsipras referred to the stabilizing role that the Hashemite kingdom has in the region.
As expected, regional developments in the eastern Mediterranean, the Mideast issue, the situation in war-torn Syria, the refugee crisis, the Cyprus problem, as well as Amman's relations with the EU were discussed by the three leaders.
At least two trilateral memorandums of cooperation will be signed.
