Greece-based Ikos Resorts this week announced that it was planning another four hotels in Spain, essentially marking a return of the country’s major tourism-related companies to the international stage.
The maximum figure thrown out for a total investment outlay is 700 million euros, as only the first Ikos hotel planned in Spain, the Ikos Andalusia, is budgeted at 150 million euros.
Ikos Resorts on Monday announced that it was creating a new company, Ikos International SCA, based in Luxembourg, with a share capital composition mostly the same as a vehicle that invested in LBRI SARL, the owner and manager of the Sani Resort in northern Greece and the Ikos Resorts in Greece – i.e. Oaktree Capital Management, investment capital and the Andreadis family, among others.
The new company will be jointly led by Andreas Andreadis and Mathieu Guillemin.
