Coca‑Cola Tria Epsilon, the renowned soft drink’s bottler in Greece, this week announced a new production line to bottle its natural mineral water brand Avra, citing a total investment of eight million euros.
The new production line will be started in the coastal city of Aigio, some 175 kilometers due west of Athens, at a current plant operated by the company. The maximum production capacity was given as 72,000 units per hour.
The announced capital investment comes after the company invested five million euros over the past three years in upgrading its management of energy sources, along with its electro-mechanical equipment and building infrastructure.
The company has announced a total investment of 24 million euros to upgrade its major plant at the Schimatari site, north of Athens, with the aim of transforming it into a “megaplant”.
