Gunfire was reported on Monday afternoon outside the offices of the PASOK political party, in downtown Athens. The incident occurred at roughly 8 p.m. (18.00 GMT).
According to reports, at least one gunman targeted members of a police riot squad guarding outside PASOK’s headquarters, a frequent “target” of self-styled anarchists over the past two decades or so.
Three bullet casings recovered at the scene point to an assault rifle as the weapon used, possibly an AK-47
A party spokesman later told an Athens television station that some 30 to 40 people were inside the offices at the time, located off Harilaou Trikoupi street.
