IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde on Monday again waded into the knotty Greek program saga by stressing that the Fund is doing its best over the bailout, but cannot compromise its principles for a specific case such as Greece.
In a widely circulated quote first reported by Reuters, Lagarde added that Greek debt relief could be achieved without institutional lenders suffering "haircuts".
