The unemployment figure improved in September 2016, dropping more than a percentage point from 24.7 percent in the corresponding month of 2015 to 23.1 percent, based on a seasonally adjusted scale.
The previous month's jobless figure stood at 23.3 percent, according to the Greek statistical bureau, EL.STAT.
