Ongoing negotiations over a second review of the Greek program (third bailout) as well as a pending report by the EU Commission’s Structural Reform Support Service (SRSS) are on the agenda for a Eurogroup meeting on Monday.
According to a press release over the weekend, the EZ finance ministers will review the current situation regarding the second review. They will also be briefed on the technical assistance provided to Greece by the Commission since 2015 to modernize the country’s often “second world” public administration, to achieve sustainable public finances and boost competitiveness and growth.
The SRSS was created by the European Commission July 2015 and is coordinated by Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis.
Besides the ubiquitous Greek “issue”, the Eurogroup agenda will include a focus on Cyprus, Spain and the course of inflation in the euro area.
