Burgeoning Chinese interest in Greece-based investment opportunities brings the president of China’s CMEC to Athens on Monday for talks with the state-run and listed Public Power Corp. (PPC), the dominant electricity producer in the country.
Both sides, in fact, PPC and CMEC, have signed a previous agreement on the joint construction of a second lignite-fired unit at the Meliti complex, in extreme northern Florina prefecture.
