This month’s commencement of negotiations for a completion of the second review of the Greek program (third bailout) dominated a meeting on Monday between Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos, government Deputy PM Yannis Dragasakis and Bank of Greece (BoG) Yannis Stournaras.
According to reports, the crucial changes in the top management of Greek lenders National Bank and Piraeus Bank were discussed, along with a leadership reshuffle at the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund, as per creditors’ directives concerning corporate governance at Greece’s recently recapitalized credit institutions.
Νegotiations will start in earnest on Friday between Cabinet members and their staff, on the one hand, and top representatives of institutional creditors, on the other hand.
