Restrictions, but not an outright remand, were slapped against four Pakistani juveniles accused of raping an underage compatriot at a “hot spot” on the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos.

The four teens allegedly also videotaped the attack with the mobile phones, police said.

All four suspects declared their age as 17.

After appearing before a local magistrate, they were placed under the supervision of a first reception service and moved out of the Moria “hot spot”.

They were also ordered to avoid contact with other minors and to remain in the country, pending a trial.

The 17-year-old identified as the victim was also removed from the temporary shelter and is hosted at another site for unaccompanied refugee minors, run by one of the many NGOs now active on the island.

Thousands of people from various Third World countries, mostly young males from as far away as Morocco and Myanmar, joined the flow of Mideast war refugees that landed on various Greek isles over the past year and a half, in a bid to reach preferred European destinations.

The issue of how to deal with thousands of irregular migrants intermingled with legitimate refugees is among the biggest concerns by the European Union.
