Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, on Monday announced a new schedule for flights to and from Athens.

Gulf Air currently operates four flights a week between Bahrain and the Athens International Airport.

As of Nov. 2, the carrier will introduce morning flights, allowing passengers more flexibility in choosing convenient timing and better connectivity to other destinations further east via connecting flights.

“Since we resumed services to Athens in the summer of 2014, the route has shown strong and steady growth to date. Athens is a key European destination in our network and we saw more customers from the region choosing to spend their holidays in Greece. The new timing will offer greater flexibility with the introduction of two morning flights from Bahrain. It will also enhance connectivity time for our customers from various origins in our network,” Ahmed Janahi, Gulf Air Chief commercial officer said, in a press release.

Gulf Air operates four weekly flights from Bahrain to Athens on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Gulf Air flights can be booked online at gulfair.com, by calling the airline’s 24 hour Worldwide Contact Centre on (+973) 17373737, or through any Gulf Air sales office and approved travel agencies.
