Greece’s beleaguered top-tier football league will begin next weekend, after a two-week delay, following a conclusive meeting on Friday between club presidents and the relevant deputy sports minister.

The development comes after an apparent compromise between a majority of the teams comprising the Super League and the Greek Football Federation (EPO), with the latter reportedly committed to fulfilling promises on the issue of referees’ tables and promotions, among others.
