Although Greek exports, overall, fell in the first half of 2016, fresh fruits and vegetables continued an upward trend, posting an impressive 22.2 percent hike in terms of value and 42.9 percent in terms of volume when compared to the corresponding period of 2015.
According to figures released by the semi-autonomous statistical bureau on Tuesday, in absolute terms, fruit and vegetable exports exceeded 940,000 tons, which translated into 522.5 million euros.
