Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday, on the sidelines of a European Peoples Party (EPP) event in Luxembourg commemorating the 40-year anniversary of the grouping's establishment.
Earlier, on Friday morning, Mitsotakis will be received by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Phanar district of Istanbul.
A day before, on Thursday, the ND president will speak at a union of local governments’ association conference on the island of Samos, where he will present the party's positions on the refugee / migration crisis.
