The partially state-owned Hellenic Petroleum (EL.PE) group will proceed with its first order for Iranian crude within the coming days, a high-ranking company executive was quoted by Reuters as saying, without disclosing further details.
The Iranian energy minister last week had announced that EL.PE would be purchasing 60,000 barrels a day, with the prospect of raising the amount to 150K a day.
EL.PE is the largest refinery group in Greece, and also fields facilities and sales networks abroad.
