A majority of would-be entrepreneurs and small-to-medium investors in Greece are mainly focusing on food-and-beverage franchise concepts with a price tag of under 100,000 euros.
Eateries as well as mini-markets appear as the most attractive retail franchise prospect in Greece, despite the ongoing economic uncertainty, shrinking profit margins, cut-throat competition and the dampened investment ability of local business people.
According to data in a study by the Marketing Services Organization, which was generated from input by visitors to a recent franchise fair, the restaurant sector leads the pack, with 35.48 percent of respondents saying they’re interested in this sector. The service sector comes in next at 21.9 percent, followed by health and beauty, at 10 percent.
The study was published by KEM ahead of this year’s franchise fair, which is slated from March 18 to 21.
