A quake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale was recorded at 7:46 a.m. (05.46 GMT) southwest of the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos, according to revised estimates.

The tremor was located at a depth of 14.9 kilometers and pinpointed at 46 kilometers from the large island.
