An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale was recorded at 04.26 (02.46 GMT) northwest of the Ionian coastal city of Preveza.
The tremor was pinpointed as 14 kilometers west-northwest of Preveza, and nearly 300 kilometers northwest of Athens.
The moderate quake caused power outages in the greater Preveza area.
