Independent MP Charis Theocharis on Tuesday announced that he will join main opposition New Democracy (ND) party's Parliamentary group, following a same-day meeting with ND president Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

"I believe the time has come to finally conclude this crisis chapter, and to enter a path towards stability and growth, a goal that necessitates a wider consensus; a strategic plan and management competency; a goal that requires the unity of all liberal, pro-European, pro-reform forces of the country," he said.
