Greek pharmaceutical tycoon and industry pioneer Pavlos Giannakopoulos, one of the co-founders of the Vianex group, passed away on Sunday at the age of 88.
Giannakopoulos, whose professional life began in his father's central Athens pharmacy as a teenager, also linked his name with the "golden era" of the Panathinaikos Athens professional basketball team, as its owner and president.
