Munich-based Süddeutsche Zeitung referred to "exclusive information" on Wednesday to report that Greece's creditors are discussing the possibility of an extension, of several months, for the ongoing third memorandum program.
The current bailout, and third successive bailout, ends in August 2018.
According to SZ, the reason for the supposed "program extension" is that the Greek government requires more time to implement agreed to reforms and obligations.
At the same time, the German mass media outlet said the IMF must finally decide if it will continue its participation in the support program - a decision it said will be based on prospects for Greek debt reduction to be approved by European creditors.
