Two Greek servicemen held in a Turkish maximum security prison after allegedly straying into the neighboring country's territory earlier this month will reportedly remain in pre-trial detention, a relevant first instance court in the Turkish border city of Edirne reportedly decided on Tuesday.
According to reports cited by Turkey's official news agency, Anadolu, the court rejected a motion by attorneys for the two men calling for their release from custody, instead replacing incarceration with a form of "house arrest".
The court reportedly said the two men - a lieutenant and NCO - lacked an official residence in Turkey.
