A pro-government media outlet in neighboring Turkey on Thursday posted a video allegedly showing three out of eight Turkish servicemen, who fled to Greece in the wake of a foiled July 2016 coup, fleeing from an army camp while armed.
The airing of the video comes a day before yet another hearing by a council of appellate justices in Athens on a third, successive, request by Turkish judicial authorities for the extradition of the eight officers and NCOs.
The authenticity of the video footage could not be confirmed.
All eight Turkish servicemen remain in custody at a police precinct in northwest Athens, at the former Olympic village, pending a final decision on their requests for political asylum.
