Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras held a scheduled phone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday, a day before the German leader is set to officially visit Turkey.
According to an announcement released by the Greek side, the ongoing talks for a solution to the Cyprus issue, EU-Turkey relations, the still simmering refugee crisis as well as Athens' standing demand that the neighboring country respect international law and end provocations in the Aegean were discussed.
