Thousands of police and a massive US security contingent will be on hand for the two-day visit to Athens this week by US President Barack Obama, with roads closed in much of the downtown.
Moreover, police on Monday said five metro stations in the Greek capital – Megaron, Evangelismos, Syntagma, Acropolis and Syggrou-Fix would close. Additionally, metro service to the airport will not take place.
