Drafting a MoC for immediate actions to boost cooperation between the port of Alexandroupolis, in extreme northeast Greece, and Bulgaria’s Black Sea port of Burgas, was decided on Thursday during a one-day trade and economic forum in the former.
The MoC will refer to an exchange of information on prospects for attracting new types of cargo; identifying necessary infrastructure improvements to attract more traffic in possible maritime links between the two ports; and cooperation in programs to attract cruise ships, and in general, maritime tourism.
Additionally, the two port authorities will submit joint proposals for EU and other types of financing.
