Eight new Greek companies were awarded monetary sums this week by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, set up by easyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
This Awards for Young Entrepreneurs were announced during an event in Athens.
The overall winner of 30,000 euros is Sun of a beach, founded by Melina Pispa & Ellie Runtou, while another seven Greece-based companies were awarded 10,000 euros each. The winners were Agnotis, Apifon, Glowbox, Isostevia, Mermix, Roots Premium Spirits
Sun of a beach specializes in producing and selling beachwear based on the «Made in Greece» and Grecian summer concept.
Distinguished companies must have begun operation after Jan. 1, 2016 to be eligible for this year's awards and be based in Greece.
