Trading of Attica Bank’s shares at the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) were suspended on Friday, following a request by the Hellenic Republic Capital Market Commission.
The regulatory agency’s request comes in the wake of numerous press reports dealing with the non-systemic lender, especially following a decision by a Bank of Greece (BoG) committee ordering a temporary freeze in new lending by the bank.
The bank’s management is also called upon to brief investors over recent developments.
