The Commission has not noticed any “significant delays” over the recent period in the implementation of prior actions by Athens, measures aimed at clinching the disbursement of 2.8 billion euros in bailout loan money.
The second tranche of a 10.3-billion-euro aid package for 2016 is expected to be allocated in the autumn after the conclusion of the second review of the Greek program (third bailout).
Speaking in Brussels, a high-ranking Commission official told “N” nevertheless added that the Tsipras government must implement a series of measures ahead of the coming review.
The same official said the Greek program is not on the agenda of a Eurogroup meeting scheduled for July 7, “we do not intend to discuss the Greek issue before September,” was the characteristic statement.
Among the priorities he cited where the establishment of a new privatization fund, and the appointment of its board members and regulatory council.
