A fight between three Egyptian men being temporarily hosted at a migrant shelter on the eastern Aegean island of Hios (Chios) left one of the trio dead.
According to initial reports, one of the three used a knife to fatally stab a compatriot in the neck, while only slightly injuring the other man.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested by police.
The massive flow of Mideast refugees over the last year and a half using neighboring Turkey as a springboard to reach various Greek islands -- as a first entry into the European Union -- allowed tens of thousands of other third country nationals, from Morocco to Bangladesh, to illegally enter the Union in a bid to immigrate to preferred European destinations.
