A union representing air traffic controllers and other Civil Aviation Authority employees on Friday called off a five-day strike that was set to begin on June 20, after a same-day meeting between union officials and the relevant transport minister.

According to reports, the minister, Christos Spirtzis, presented the unions with a draft organizational chart, ahead of the looming privatization of 14 regional airports in the country and a bid to boost exploitation of the remain state-run facilities.
