Political messages with an Easter theme were in order over the weekend by Greek leaders, as Easter Sunday is celebrated in the predominately Easter Orthodox country this weekend.
On his part, main opposition New Democracy party (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis wished Greek citizens a "new beginning with solid expectations and real hopes".
On his part, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will spend Easter Sunday with the NCOs and officers of the Hellenic Navy frigate "Adrias". Tsipras will be accompanied by Defence Minister Panos Kammenos, his coalition partner and the leader of a small populist-rightist party in Parliament.
