Alexander Zinell has been tapped to assume the position of CEO of Fraport Greece, the company set up by parent Fraport AG after it acquired the management of 14 regional airports around Greece in an international tender.
Previously, Zinell served as head of investments for Fraport AG.
He referred to “excellent prospects” that the airports enjoy, especially in terms of tourism traffic.
The statement was echoed by Fraport AG president and CEO Stefan Schulte and Dimitris Copelouzos, the head of the Copelouzos group, which is Fraport’s minority partner in the company managing the 14 Greek airports.
Both men expressed optimism that Greece will soon acquire another 14 outstanding entry points for tourists and foreign visitors.
