Myanmar state television says the death toll from Tropical Cyclone Nargis is nearly 4,000.Earlier official estimates put the figure at just over 350 but the number of casualties is rising dramatically as authorities make contact with islands and villages in the Irawaddy Delta hit by the cyclone during Friday and Saturday.
