A 7.4 magnitude earthquake strikes northeast and eastern Japan Thursday. A tsunami warning has been issued for the northeastern coast of Japan, an area that was already badly hit by the March 11 earthquake. Japan's NHK public television said repeatedly areas where tsunami warnings are issued should evacuate to higher ground.
