A total of 59 people were arrested around Greece on Tuesday and Wednesday, including the prominent owner of a nationwide chain of pawn shops, on charges related to investigations over the illegal export of gold from the country.
A total of 59 people were arrested around Greece on Tuesday and Wednesday, including the prominent owner of a nationwide chain of pawn shops, on charges related to investigations over the illegal export of gold from the country.
A large quantity of gold, silver, as well as weapons, cash and numerous jewelry items were also confiscated.
Among those in custody is Dimitris Richardos Mylonas, the owner of the Richardos pawn shop chain.
