First heavy snowfall of season across mountains in northern, central Greece

The first heavy snowfall of the season blanketed much of the mountainous regions in northern and central Greece, with the first snowflakes also seen in the peaks around the greater Athens area.

Rain showers were recorded elsewhere in the country and in most Aegean islands.
