Tuesday's Cabinet meeting witnessed an acrimonious quarrel between Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and Defense Minister Panos Kammenos, with the former charging that the latter is exercising foreign policy and harming the country and the government.
Kammenos heads up the small right-wing Independent Greeks (AN.EL) party that continues to prop up the mostly hard leftist Tsipras government, although fissures in the "strange bedfellows" coalition have become more pronounced over disagreements regarding the Prespa Agreement.
The row followed an unprecedented plea by Tsipras towards his minister not to topple his government, saying he understands the differing views over the agreement, and with the controversial saying he and his remaining MPs will leave the government when the agreement comes before Parliament for ratification.
He again avoided touching on whether he'll stop offering his support as part of a slim majority in Parliament.
