A travel agents' federation in Greece on Wednesday sharply criticized an industrial action by a union representing guards of archaeological sites in the country, scheduled for Saturday, between 8 a.m. and noon.

Saturday is the day before Orthodox Easter Sunday, an unofficial start to the fair-weather tourism season in Greece.

The federation, FedHATTA, said the four-work work stoppage will damage the country's image, leaving visitors outside closed archaeological sites.
