The Bank of Greece (BoG) on Tuesday announced that the annual growth rate of total deposits held in Greek banks reached 7.7 percent in February 2018, up from 6.8 percent in the previous month, while the monthly net flow was positive, up 528 million euros from January 2018.

Moreover, the annual growth rate of total credit extended to the economy in February 2018 stood at -1.8 percent, compared to -1.6 percent in the previous month. The monthly net flow was negative, 1.202 billion euros, compared with a negative net flow of 1.237 billion euros in the previous month.
According to the same announcement, deposits held by households and business entities increased by 0.13 percent, to reach 124.92 billion euros in February 2018, slightly up from 124.76 billion euros in January 2018.
