One fatality reported from avalanche at northern Greek ski resort

An avalanche at a ski resort in northern Greece claimed the life of one man on Saturday.

The incident occurred at the Vassilitsa resort in Grevena prefecture.

According to reports, the unidentified man was hit by the avalanche as he was snowboarding with a group of friends. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead two hours later.
