Greece's Independent Public Revenues Authority this week announced a much stricter framework for transferring a taxpayer's or taxpaying entity's official residence abroad, with the aim being to combat tax evasion via the use of "shell companies" and permanent addresses.

The stricter framework will be affect requests for tax residences submitted in 2017.
