The European Commission's Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) showed a marked improvement in the economic climate for Greece and the rest of the Eurozone in April, with the index for the former up by 1.5 percentage points to reach 94.9 points.

The figure is close to the peak of the past year, as it stood at 95.1 in January and December 2016.
