The European Central Bank (ECB) on Thursday lowered the cap on emergency liquidity assistance (ELA) that Greek banks can access from the Bank of Greece (BoG) by 100 million euros.
The European Central Bank (ECB) on Thursday lowered the cap on emergency liquidity assistance (ELA) that Greek banks can access from the Bank of Greece (BoG) by 100 million euros.
The figure now stands at 46.2 billion euros.
ECB announced that the decision was based on improved liquidity conditions in Greece's domestic banking sector. The ELA ceiling is valid up to March 22.
