The board of directors of Piraeus Bank, one of four Greek systemic banks, appointed George Hatzinikolaou to the post of non-executive president on Tuesday afternoon.
Hatzinikolaou has previously worked for the World Bank, Dresdner Bank, ISDA and other credit institutions in Greece.
The board of National Bank of Greece, considered the biggest credit institution in the country, will convene on Wednesday to appoint a new president.
