The Council of State, Greece’s highest administrative court, on Wednesday rejected six motions filed by trade unions, organizations and municipalities, among others, against an agreement transferring the management of 14 regional airports around the country to a consortium led by Germany’s Fraport.

According to judicial sources, the decision by a CoS plenum of justices eliminates the last obstacle to implementing the memorandum-mandated deal.

The primary litigant against the concession agreement was a federation (OSYPE) representing unions of civil aviation employees.
